The easiest way is BTS Skytrain: take the Sukhumvit/Green Line to Ekkamai Station, use Exit 2, then walk about 50-100 m to the bus terminal.
BTS fares are usually about 17-65 THB depending on distance.
From Sukhumvit, Asok, Nana, Phrom Phong, Thong Lo, Siam or Silom, BTS is usually faster than a car in traffic; from Silom/Siam you may need one interchange.
From Khao San Road, riverside hotels, or with heavy luggage, use Grab/Bolt or taxi and check the live price first: often about 120-250 THB from central Bangkok, 180-350 THB from Khao San/Riverside, and 350-600 THB from DMK or BKK airport plus possible tolls.

Mo Chit Bus Terminal

Best for Northern Bangkok

Mo Chit 2 is NOT at Mo Chit BTS Station - the terminal is about 2.1-2.3 km away (roughly a 15-minute walk through Wachirabenchathat Park).
From BTS Mo Chit: use Exit 3 or 4, then take a short taxi or motorbike taxi (about 40-60 THB, ~5 min). Grab works well - set the pin to 'Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal'.
From the MRT: Kamphaeng Phet Station, Exit 1 (about 2 km). A motorbike taxi costs about 40 THB, a metered taxi about 50 THB.
Mo Chit 2 is open 24/7 and is the largest of Bangkok's long-distance bus terminals - arrive 20-30 minutes before departure to locate your platform.
Left luggage is on floor 1: about 50-100 THB per bag per day, open 6:00-22:00, ID required.
Locals call it 'Mo Chit Mai' or 'Mo Chit 2' (officially: Bangkok Bus Terminal, Chatuchak). Don't confuse it with the BTS station of the same name.

After getting off at North Pattaya Bus Terminal, first open your hotel address in Google Maps and check whether it is in Central Pattaya, Beach Road, Naklua, Pratumnak, or Jomtien.
